Buffalo N.Y. (WGR 550) - The Bills clinch the AFC East for the third straight season in their 35-13 win in the cold against the Chicago Bears. The Buffalo Bills are only two wins away from clinching the top seed in the AFC. They can even clinch it this week, with a win plus a Kansas City loss on Sunday.

While the Bills are guaranteed to host a playoff game this postseason in Orchard Park, they are only two wins away from locking up the top seed in the AFC heading into the playoffs. That will not only give Buffalo home field advantage throughout the AFC Playoffs, but also allow the Bills a bye in the AFC Wild Card Round.

If the Bills are lucky, they have a chance to clinch the AFC this week with a win, plus a Kansas City Chiefs loss on Sunday to the Denver Broncos.

The Bills are now guaranteed one home playoff game, but this game against the Bengals could decide who will have the top seed and the first round bye. They will be going up against the Cincinnati Bengals who have won seven straight games coming into Monday Night Football at Paycor Stadium.

Although the Bills enter Monday night's contest riding a six-game winning streak, the Bengals are playing just as hot with seven-straight wins.

This past week in Chicago, the Bills played in the bitter cold conditions at Soldier Field, actually taking part in the team's coldest regular season game in franchise history.

Going into their "Monday Night Football" matchup with the Bengals at Paycor Stadium, the weather will be quite the opposite, with weather conditions in Cincinnati expected to be around 50 degrees at kickoff.

Meanwhile over the weekend, Buffalo got hit with a major blizzard that caused the Bills to stay another day in Chicago and have to fly into Rochester. The Buffalo Bills helped in the community by donating $100,000 to help with relief efforts as Buffalo starts to recover from the winter storm. During his weekly appearance, Bills head coach Sean McDermott on the “Extra Point Show” mentioned how professional sports teams step up when their community is in a time of need.

During his weekly appearance on WGR, Bills head coach Sean McDermott on the “Extra Point Show” mentioned how professional sports teams step up when their community is in a time of need.

The Bills did not rule out any players yet for Monday, and McDermott plans on taking who is going to practice one day at a time. Center Mitch Morse was back at practice after missing last weeks game with a concussion.

The Bills did get some good news earlier in the week on the offensive line, as center Mitch Morse was back at practice after missing last week's game due to a concussion.

The Bills running game has come alive in their previous matchup as Devin Singletary rushed for 106 yards, while James Cook rushing for 99 yards in the win against the Bears. McDermott has felt that there are definitely a lot of different ways to win.

“When you can run the football that’s one way and one way to establish the line of scrimmage,” McDermott said.

With the Bengals coming up on Monday Night Football, this is the highest win total between two teams in the history of Monday Night Football. McDermott knows the competitiveness of Joe Burrow and how he has always shown big games being in the National Championship and the Super Bowl.

McDermott knows the competitiveness of Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, and how he has always shown up in big games, including last year's Super Bowl and even the College Football Playoff National Championship Game as a member of the LSU Tigers.

With that in mind, McDermott knows his defense will have to come up big against one of the best young quarterbacks in the NFL, as well as an offense with many weapons around Burrow.

“We've got to play really, really well on defense to give ourselves a chance to win, and it starts with our leaders and having a great week of practice,” McDermott said.
