Josh Allen was kind enough to carve out some time for an exclusive interview with Peter King earlier this week.

The longtime NFL scribe responded by snubbing a handshake.

Not really, as King clearly didn’t see Allen’s outstretched hand, but he nevertheless was responsible for the viral moment of what little NFL training camp we’ve had thus far.

After conducting an on-camera interview, King thanks Allen and then turned back towards the camera. As he did, Allen stuck his hand out for a handshake, but King clearly didn’t see it. Allen, trying to keep the moment alive, kept his hand out for a few moments before King signed off and eventually noticed Allen's hand.

Again, clearly an accident. But appearing on the “Rich Eisen Show”, King said he felt pretty bad about it.

“I’m kind of an ignoramus,” King started. “That was really one of the most bizarre things because at first, when I did finally see his hand and I shook it, instead of [Allen] being like dude you left me hanging, he thought it was the funniest thing in the world. He asked my cameraperson, Kelsey Bartels, he said, 'Did you get that?' He wanted to make sure that the embarrassment would be there for all to see, and it is."

You have to commend Allen for taking it in stride and having a good attitude about it. As for King, it’s probably time to work on the peripheral vision.
