J.J. Watt’s release from the Houston Texans is already making him one of the most sought-after free agents this offseason.

The 31-year-old pass rusher revealed fans are already “bribing” him with donations to his charity while four playoff contenders are among the dozen or so teams that are reportedly interested in him.

Among those teams includes the Buffalo Bills, and at least one player is already doing his part in trying to recruit the five-time All-Pro.

Stefon Diggs, who is coming off the best season of his career after his first year in Buffalo, shot Watt a tweet on Friday after news broke that he was becoming a free agent.

A couple hours later, Diggs just so happened to retweet stats showing Josh Allen’s progression from his rookie year to now – perhaps evidence of the direction the Bills are heading for Watt to consider.

Watt is likely entering the final stages of his career and a place where he could potentially win the Super Bowl will be among his priorities.

The Bills reached the AFC Championship Game last season, falling short to the Kansas City Chiefs, but may be one or two pieces away from taking that next step.

Adding someone like Watt, who brings veteran leadership in addition to his talent, could be a huge boost to an already strong Bills defense.

Diggs proved to be that boost for the offense this year, leading the NFL with 127 receptions and 1,535 receiving yards for his first Pro Bowl and All-Pro season of his career.

Perhaps Watt may indeed want to hear Diggs out after a season like that.
