The Braves made a number of moves on Tuesday before a game that was eventually rained out. They activated Ronald Acuña Jr., added Ian Anderson to make his debut, and brought back Nick Markakis.
The corresponding moves involved sending a trio of Braves down to Gwinnett. Touki Toussaint and Alex Jackson were optioned, and so was Christian Pache.
Nobody seemed too bothered by Touki and Jackson, but some were perturbed by Pache's demotion.
Among those who questioned the decision was 92.9 The Game Braves Insider Joe Patrick, who told John and Hugh why he doubts if it's what is best for Pache at this point in his career.
"I wonder if he wouldn’t benefit more being with the Major League team and learning and getting in a routine at the Major League level," says Patrick. "Clearly the club thinks that he's best served being at Gwinnett."
