The Commanders-Giants game on Sunday was a thriller.

And then, it just ended.

The two NFC East teams finished with a 20-20 tie in a game that featured major playoff implications. Seventy-five minutes wasn't enough to settle it, and now they're set to meet again on Dec. 18.

Both teams had their chances, including in overtime, but the game closed with a whimper. Ties, especially for potential playoff teams, are always a little awkward for players. There isn’t the frustration or disappointment of a loss, but locker rooms also aren’t happy places after ties.

Julian Love shared on “Tiki and Tierney” what it has been like for the Giants.

“It was very weird. I’ve never been a part of that before," the safety said. "You bust your ass in a competitive atmosphere, I thought we did a lot of things right, energy was great that day. And yeah, the game just ends, which is a tough scene. It felt anticlimactic almost, but then when you go back on tape, (Brian Daboll) was consistent, he wasn’t super one way or the other.

“The message was instead of this is something we did to win or this is something that we didn’t do to lose, it was like this is something we could have done to maybe swing the tie. And so you’re really searching for plays that really made the difference.”

The good news for the Giants is that even with the tie, they remain in postseason position. They currently own the sixth seed in the NFC heading into Week 14.
