Patriots' Stephon Gilmore puts house on market

The former Bills cornerback could be on the move ahead of Tuesday's trade deadline

It might mean nothing, but it certainly is curious timing.

As was first reported on The Greg Hill Show on WEEI in Boston on Wednesday, New England Patriots cornerback Stephon Gilmore officially put his Foxboro home on the market Tuesday night with the deadline of Nov. 3 -- the NFL Trade Deadline -- for final offers.

Jermaine Wiggins, one of the show's co-hosts, noted that NFL players rarely put their house on the market in the middle of the season.

Appearing on GHS, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport wasn't quite as definitive when connecting the dots.

"I don't know what to make of it, honestly," Rapoport said. "I've been through this before where star players or coaches or whoever put their house on the market. Sometimes it means they're getting traded and sometimes it means they are just buying a new house."

Judging by her reaction on Twitter just before 9 a.m., Gilmore's wife Gabrielle seemed amused by the conversation.

The former first round pick (10th overall) of the Buffalo Bills in the 2012 NFL Draft is currently in his fourth season in New England and has one more year remaining on his contract after the 2020 campaign.
