Buffalo, N.Y. (WGR Sports Radio 550) - The Buffalo Sabres continue to add assets for their roster in the American Hockey League this upcoming season, signing forward Aidan McDonough to a one-year, two-way contract on Thursday.

The 26-year-old has mostly been a minor league player over the course of his professional career. However, he does have six NHL games to his credit in the 2022-23 season, playing with the Vancouver Canucks after signing his entry-level contract out of college or Northeastern University. In his brief NHL action, McDonough has one goal.
Since then, the Milton, Mass. native has appeared in 139 AHL games with the Abbotsford Canucks, Charlotte Checkers and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, where he has scored 44 goals and added 35 assists for 79 points.
McDonough was a former seventh-round pick (195th overall) of the Canucks in the 2019 NHL Draft.
