The New York Giants are moving on to the Divisional Round of the NFL Playoffs and Monday it was all about singing the praises of Daniel Jones.

The Giants quarterback has spent the last four seasons trying to prove he has what it takes to be the franchise guy to lead the team and on Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings he left no doubt about it.

Jones was flawless, completing 24 of 35 pass attempts for 301 yards and tossing two touchdowns while rushing for 78 yards on 17 carries in a 31-24 victory.

Former Giants running back Tiki Barber said on Monday’s “Tiki & Tierney” that Jones played like a “superstar.”

“Daniel Jones’ reclamation, might be one of the greatest in the last decade,” Barber said. “Here we are, in the Wild Card Round, and Daniel Jones is damn near perfect. …. Everything he did is right in line with what a superstar would do in a playoff game.”

Jones had consulted former Giants quarterback Eli Manning earlier in the week about playing in the postseason and Barber figured whatever advice he got he took to heart.

“Daniel Jones played one of the. Best games of his career int his postseason, so you gotta be all in on Daniel Jones being the one who will take this Giants team however far they are going to go,” he said. “…This giants team has simply gotten better every single week of the NFL season and culminated with a huge win on the road vs. Minnesota Vikings. After a couple series you felt this Giants team is going to refuse to be defeated by Vikings who were 13-4 this season.”
