But on Thursday night, two fans of the same team nearly mixed it up in what might have been a new low for unruly behavior from spectators.

Only, it didn't happen -- thanks to an assist from a star player.

Carolina wide receiver D.J. Moore was seen playing peacemaker when a pair of fans got in each other's faces in the front row at Bank of American Stadium.

Moore, standing on the wall that separates the lower bowl from the playing field, was holding up and his hands and pleading with the fans to "listen."

Toward the end of the 26-second clip, Moore can be heard saying, "We're at a family function!"

Indeed, the near-scuffle transpired at the Panthers' fanfest event, where the atmosphere is generally several ticks chiller than your average regular-season game, or even preseason game.

Moore, now entering his fifth season, would especially seem to have the cache to squash such nonsense. The former Maryland star has eclipsed 1,100 receiving yards in each of the last three seasons, and signed a hefty three-year extension in the offseason.
