
Luzerne County Manager David Pedri held a press conference on Sunday to discuss the first confirmed case of coronavirus in Luzerne County. While the identity of the person was not revealed, Pedri did confirm that this case was travel related and not due to community spread. The patient is said to be quarantined at home.
Pedri also announced that Luzurne County was now under a state of emergency, and ran through new rules and restrictions for county buildings. A full list will be available on the Luzerne County website.
As reported earlier, the first case of coronavirus in Luzerne County was confirmed on Sunday afternoon by the Pennsylvania Dept of Health.
