President Donald Trump will be in downtown Scranton this Thursday for a Fox News Town Hall Event. It’s scheduled to be live on-air from 6:30 to 7:30pm from the Scranton Cultural Center on North Washington Avenue. You will only be allowed to attend the town hall if you have received a ticket prior to the event. There will be several traffic restrictions Thursday lasting from 7am until 7pm. Police say there will be no parking in the 400 block of North Washington Avenue and also no parking in the 300, 400, 500 blocks of North Washington Ave., the 400, 500 and 600 blocks of Vine Street and the 300 and 400 blocks of Adams Avenue. There may also be additional traffic restrictions as warranted that day. Police say the downtown area will be very congested Thursday so avoid the area if possible.
