Hostage Situation at Convenience Store in Luzerne County

A man from Waymart is in custody after an incident at a Wilkes Barre Turkey Hill on Sunday afternoon. Police say 33 year old Brandon Tracewski faces among others charges of terroristic threats and robbery. They  arrived to find he barricaded himself and several employees in the store on North Washington Street saying he had a knife and was strapped with a bomb. He was eventually taken into custody without incident and the Scranton Bomb Squad found no devices. ​
