A Luzerne County Judge has ruled that a 15-year-old girl accused of robbing and killing a Wilkes-Barre man will stand trial as an adult.Louisa Reyes will now be tried along with 33-year old Reynaldo Mercado.Reyes is charged with second-degree murder, while Mercado is facing an open count of criminal homicide in the death of 58-year old Fred Boote who was brutally beaten and stabbed in his home in 2018.The ruling means Reyes now faces life in prison if convicted, rather than juvenile detention until she turns 21.Reyes and Mercado continue to be held without bail at the Luzerne County Prison.
