Pennsylvania's highest court handed victories to the Democratic Party in an election-related lawsuit which sought favorable fixes to glitches and gray areas in the Commonwealth’s fledgling mail-in voting law.

The Pa. State Supreme Court also granted the Democratic Party's request for an extension of Pennsylvania's Election Day deadline. After this decision, mail-in ballots will be allowed to be counted for three days after Election day.

The court also authorized the use of satellite election offices and drop boxes.  Philadelphia is planning to use satellite election offices and drop boxes to help relieve the pressure from an expected avalanche of mail-in ballots coming from the city’s heavily populated suburbs.

The Pennsylvania State Supreme Court currently has a 5-2 Democratic Majority.
