LEWISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Thirteen western counties, comprising nearly 2.7 million residents and most of the Pittsburgh metropolitan area, will see relief from Gov. Tom Wolf’s most restrictive pandemic orders on movement and businesses next week. But frustration among counties that remain locked down is growing into something of a rebellion. Some Republican officials said Friday that they would take it upon themselves to reopen in defiance of the Democratic governor. The Schyulkill County commissioners, state representatives and senator sent a letter to Governor Tom Wolf over the weekend saying they believe they are ready to move into the yellow phase of the stay at home order and effective this coming Friday are moving to yellow on their own without the go ahead from the state. WILK's Frank Andrews will discuss the move with those involved this afternoon at 3pm.
