Under a plan approved at last night's Scranton School Board meeting, Scranton property owners could see a 3.9 percent increase in their school taxes for next year. The increase is the maximum allowed by the state. More discussion on the proposal will be held Wednesday November 18 at a virtual meeting of the Financial Recovery Advisory Committee followed by a virtual public hearing. More details on that are expected in the near future.
