Wilkes-Barre Mayor George Brown has announced the City Health Department was notified that a Wilkes-Barre Police officer tested positive for COVID-19. Eight other police officers are presently quarantining.CDC recommended control measures to prevent the spread of the virus were implemented, including deep cleaning and disinfection of the police station, vehicles, and equipment.
