Since the beginning of the pandemic, I've started my show with a song. While the song plays, I legit clean the studio. It started off as a joke between my wife and I, but when I thought about it, it actually made some sense. Long story short? Through the pandemic, I play different songs at the start of the show.
If you've listened, you've heard the female computer voice who introduces the song. If you've paid attention, you've also heard "her" interact with the music, sometimes in absurd ways. Why? Because I like absurd things and (spoiler alert), I can make her say what I want her to say. #Showbiz
For weeks now, Johnny Lucas has wanted me to play a song by his beloved group the Celtic Woman. I kept pushing it off. I guess I was a bit selfish. I also guess Johnny got sick of waiting!
This morning, to my surprise, when the "cleaning song" started, the female "computer voice" had been replaced by a very familiar, but robotic sounding version of Johnny Lucas. It was amazing.
I didn't post the entire song, because posting music gets weird, but I did post an edited version of "Computer Johnny Lucas". It's the best thing I've heard all week and I hope you feel the same way.
