3 Clarks Summit natives killed in crash near Philadelphia

A fatal crash in Philadelphia early Saturday morning claimed the lives of three people from Lackawanna County. It happened on the Schuylkill Expressway near the I-76 westbound exit for Route 1 in the city. The 3 Clarks Summit natives were identified by police as 23 year old twins Tucker and Christian Schimelfenig, and 24 year old Michael Comerford, 24. A fourth person who also died was identified as the driver of the Uber they were riding in, Jan Carlo Santana of Philadelphia. PA State Police arrested 31 year old Victor Spizzirri of Philadelphia. Investigators say he swerved across several lanes and hit the victims' vehicle. Spirrizzi was treated for moderate injuries. He was charged with homicide by vehicle while DUI and related charges.
