More choices for air travelers flying out of the Wilkes Barre/Scranton International Airport in Avoca. Beginning April 5, American Airlines will expand service between Avoca, the , and O'Hare International Airport in Chicago by increasing the number of weekly flights from five to 14. American currently runs direct flights from AVP to Chicago five days a week, but on April 5th, that service will expand to 7 days a week. Chicago-bound American flights will depart at 7:55 a.m. and 6:24 p.m. Flights from O'Hare will arrive at AVP at 5:59 p.m. and 9:32 p.m.
