
The second positive sample of West Nile Virus from a mosquito has been found in Lackawanna County. The sample is part of routine testing and was collected from the Tripp Park section of the city. City officials were notified of the positive test results yesterday. No human cases of the West Nile virus however have been reported. Residents are reminded to always take precautions when out of doors and to eliminate standing water around their homes.
