Big plans were unveiled for revitalization in the city of Pittston. Officials showed architect renderings for the Market and Main/American Theatre building project. A 6 to 8 story building will be built and house besides, retail space and housing, the New American Theatre with seating for up to 500 people. The design is by OOMBRA Architects based in Philadelphia. Estimated costs for the project could reach over 40million dollars. Funding has already been earmarked through several sources and the first phase could be completed by 2027.
