A Berwick man was taken into custody yesterday by members of the US Marshals Middle PA Fugitive Task Force. 47 year old Adam Wample was wanted by the PA Department of Corrections for absconding. Members of the Task Force located him in an upstairs bedroom in the 300 block of Monroe Street where he barricaded himself and made several threatening statements. He refused commands to surrender and negotiations lasted four hours. He finally came out without incident.
