Scranton Police have charged 82-year-old Bob Bolus in connection with a hit-and-run crash that happened during a downtown protest Saturday. Bolus, a well-known supporter of former President Donald Trump, was driving his pro-Trump tractor-trailer—covered in political slogans and images—during a “No Kings” protest near Courthouse Square.

The demonstration was part of a nationwide response to President Trump’s military-style parade held in Washington, D.C., drawing hundreds to downtown Scranton.

Police say the incident occurred at North Washington Avenue and Linden Street and involved Bolus’s tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle. According to a department statement posted to Facebook, investigators reviewed surveillance video, interviewed witnesses, and spoke with Bolus before determining he was at fault.

Bolus is now facing two misdemeanor charges: leaving the scene of an accident and driving with a suspended or revoked license. The case has been referred to Lackawanna County Court for further action.
