A Bradford County jury took only 34 minutes to find Terry Parker guilty of first-degree murder, abuse of a corpse, and tampering with evidence on Thursday. Following the verdict in the Towanda courthouse, Parker was sentenced to life in prison for the March 2024 killing of Michael Pruitt.
The investigation revealed a series of disturbing events following the fatal shooting at a home in Springfield Township. Authorities stated that after killing Pruitt, Parker loaded the victim's body into a vehicle and drove to Harrisburg. During the trip, Parker reportedly stopped for ice cream before returning to Bradford County to dismember and burn the remains.
The trial also included testimony from Ronda Parker, who pleaded guilty to third-degree murder for her role in the crime. As part of her plea agreement, she testified against Terry Parker and is scheduled to receive her own sentence next month. Terry Parker will serve his life sentence without the possibility of parole.
