Bushkill Man Sentenced to 25 to 50 Years for Fatal Wawa Shooting in Stroudsburg

STROUDSBURG, PA — A Monroe County judge has sentenced 26-year-old Andrew Quattrochi to 25 to 50 years in state prison following his guilty plea in the fatal shooting of 17-year-old Garrett Gearhart inside a Stroudsburg convenience store.

The sentencing resolves criminal charges stemming from a violent confrontation inside the Wawa store on West Main Street. Quattrochi previously entered guilty pleas to charges of third-degree murder, aggravated assault, and discharging a firearm into an occupied structure. Investigators testified that Quattrochi fatally shot Gearhart in the back during a physical altercation involving several individuals.

Two family members who participated in the incident were also sentenced after entering guilty pleas to conspiracy charges. Quattrochi's brother, Christopher Quattrochi, was sentenced to serve up to seven years in prison following a guilty plea to conspiracy to commit aggravated assault. His father, Joseph Quattrochi, received a sentence of four to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to conspiracy to commit aggravated assault and hindering apprehension.

According to court filings presented by the Monroe County District Attorney’s Office, surveillance video captured the family arriving in coordinated vehicles before entering the store prior to the shooting. Following the sentencing hearing, all three men were remanded to state custody to begin serving their terms.
