HARVEYS LAKE, PA — Emergency crews responded to Harveys Lake Saturday evening after a passenger vehicle drove off the roadway and submerged into the lake, according to local officials.
First responders were dispatched around 7:20 p.m. to the intersection of Lakeside Drive and Noxen Road following reports of a vehicle in the water.
Upon arrival, Harveys Lake Fire & Ambulance Chief David Davis and emergency personnel assisted a nearby resident who used a personal boat to rescue the female driver from the water.
The driver was transported by ambulance to a local hospital, where she was treated for minor injuries.
Law enforcement authorities are investigating the cause of the incident and what led the vehicle to leave the roadway.
