Work continues in Wilkes-Barre to repair a massive sinkhole that formed after a roadway collapsed on Horton Street.
On Thursday, crews from PennDOT, PPL, Pennsylvania American Water, and Stell Enterprises were on-site, working to restore utilities and assess the damage in the 200 block of Horton Street.
The response includes setting up a safety perimeter, beginning excavation, and investigating what caused the road to give way. Officials say the repairs could take days or even weeks to complete.
