An area college is making cuts to faculty and staff and eliminating some academic programs. Keystone College is hoping to realize $3.5 million in savings to its budget, according to Tuesday's announcement. The cuts impact 29 faculty and staff positions, including a few summer furloughs, along with the elimination of positions that were currently vacant. The academic programs to be eliminated include forensic biology, chemistry and child and family studies. Keystone College's campus spans La Plume in Lackawanna County and Factoryville in Wyoming County.
