
Lt. Governor Austin Davis was in Scranton Wednesday to discuss gun violence. Davis said the issue affects every community across the Keystone State. The Lt Governor was at the Boys and Girls Club on Ash St in Scranton to address local lawmakers and law enforcement officials. Touting the $11.5 million from the Boost Act that will go to after-school programs like the Boys and Girls Club to help keep young people engaged. Part of the budget will support victims of domestic violence. $5 million will go to the crime victims' compensation fund. Officials with the women's resource center say out of 104 domestic violence homicides in Pennsylvania last year, 67% of them involved a gun.
