Officials with the Griffin Pond Animal Shelter in Lackawanna County are asking for your help. They are looking for information on who may have left two puppies in a dumpster in the city's West Side. The discovery was made yesterday in the 1000 block of Jackson Street. The male and female pit bull mixes were in what was described as "rough shape", but are being cared for at the shelter. They are now looking at security camera video from the area from just before midnight Tuesday until Wednesday morning around 4:30. If you have any information you're asked to contact Scranton Animal Control or Griffin Pond at (570) 586-3700.
