The Lackawanna County Coroner has identified the woman who died during Saturday night's flash flooding. Investigators say 61-year-old Virginia A. Paoloni of Clarks Summit, was swept away when she got out of her vehicle after it began to fill with water on Shady Lane Road in South Abington Township. Her death was ruled accidental. The Scranton Times reports a companion was an occupant in the vehicle and both called 911 and were told to leave it as the water rose to chest level. He was able to grab a pole, but his partner Paoloni was swept away.
