Dunmore man charged with attacking hospital personnel

A Dunmore man was charged with aggravated assault after attacking a security guard and a hospital employee at Geisinger CMC in Scranton for trying to enter the hospital without a security check.  According to reports, Eugene Mecca was charged with aggravated assault, public drunkenness, disorderly conduct and related charges. The incident happened Tuesday night around 10pm. A preliminary hearing for Mecca is scheduled for 9:15 a.m. on Jan. 28th.
