Eynon double block fire displaces over a dozen residents

A midday fire in Lackawanna County's Eynon community forced more than a dozen people from their homes this past Sunday afternoon. Several fire crews were called to the scene on Main Street, near Pasquale’s Pizzeria and Restaurant, just before 2 p.m. to battle the blaze that tore through a double block residence. Eyewitness reports indicated heavy smoke billowing from the structure as first responders worked. Authorities have not yet released any information regarding the cause of the fire, nor have they confirmed if there were any injuries in connection with the incident.
