PA State Police at Wilkes Barre have released more information on a deadly accident early this morning on one part of Interstate 81 in Luzerne County. It happened just after 4am near mile marker 158.8 on northbound I 81 in Rice Township. A woman, now identified as 47 year old Laura Yocius of West Pittston, parked her vehicle on the on ramp and for an unknown reason walked onto the interstate where she was struck by a tractor trailer. The road was shut down and traffic was detoured for several hours. The investigation is ongoing.
