A Luzerne County father who police say crushed his 11-week-old baby to death because the infant's crying kept him awake at night has been sentenced to serve up to 10 years in state prison. 24-year Jeffery Hutcheson of Nescopeck previously pleaded guilty to aggravated assault and child endangerment in a plea deal that spared him criminal homicide charges.
Prosecutors say Hutcheson repeatedly squeezed his son, Terran , in August and September 2019. The child later died in a hospital in late September 2019.
