DALLAS TWP., PA — Firefighters from multiple departments across Luzerne and Wyoming counties responded to an early morning fire Sunday that destroyed a home in the Back Mountain region.
Emergency crews were dispatched shortly before 1:00 a.m. to the 100 block of Lake Catalpa Road in Dallas Township for a reported residential structure fire. Upon arrival, first responders found the two-story home fully engulfed in flames.
Fire crews established a water supply nearby at Lake Catalpa to fight the blaze, but the intensity of the fire left only the charred frame of the structure standing.
It was initially unclear from the scene if any injuries occurred, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation by local officials.
