A former cook at the Luzerne County Prison accused of smuggling illicit drugs into the facility has been sentenced. Luzerne County Judge David W. Lupas sentenced 39 year old Christopher Maloney of Scranton to 10-to-23 months at the county correctional facility on a charge of possession of a controlled substance to an inmate. Maloney pled guilty to the charge in February.
