A man from Luzerne County is in trouble with the law for impersonating police during a traffic stop. According to reports, Angel Abreu-Nunez of Hazleton, was pulled over, due to a fake temporary plate. Abreu-Nunez said he was an off-duty police officer and provided an identification card from a department in Schuylkill County. Officers contacted the department and found that Abreu-Nunez hadn't worked there in about a year. Police searched his vehicle and found multiple fake Pennsylvania temporary plates, which he had made himself. Abreu-Nunez is locked up at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility, unable to post $50,000 bail. His preliminary hearing is set for March 31st.
