Police say 27 year old William Snyder of Milton, a former state trooper, shot John Rabbitz Jr. at his home along Merry L Drive in Sugarloaf Township on Tuesday night. Rabbitz Jr. later died from his injuries. Police say Rabbitz Jr.'s girlfriend told investigators she used to date Snyder, and he continued to message her and show up at her home after the breakup. Officials say Snyder's employment with state police ended in May of 2023.
