Adrian Oswaldo Sura Reyes of Nescopeck pleaded guilty to all charges he was facing in exchange for having the death penalty removed as a possible sentence. The 24 year old pleaded guilty to two counts of first degree murder and 19 counts of attempted murder in Columbia County Court yesterday. He was accused of beating his mother to death with a hammer last August, then running his car into a group of people gathered at a fundraiser in Berwick. 19 received serious injuries and a woman from Wilkes Barre died. He will face life in prison when he is sentenced. No sentencing date has been set.
