Beginning in the new year, parkers will pay more at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport. On Thursday the board voted unanimously to raise daily parking rates by $1 a day raising the daily cost of garage parking to $15 and the open air lot to $11. Airport officials say the increase is needed to pay for maintenance of the lot and garage and point out that rates are still at least 25% less than nearby Lehigh Valley and Harrisburg Airports.
