Wounded Scranton Detective Kyle Gilmartin was transferred from Geisinger Community Medical Center Tuesday morning to a rehabilitation hospital in the Philadelphia area. More than a hundred fellow officers and first responders gathered to cheer Gilmartin on as he was wheeled out to waiting ambulance. Gilmartin was dressed in his police uniform and raised up his hand to acknowledge the well wishers who gathered to salute him.
