Supervisors in Jenkins Township voted down a proposal that would have changed zoning in that part of Luzerne County. Many residents have been speaking out for months urging them not to allow Motus Capital's request to allow the change. The company wanted to build warehouses on land close to their homes. That had those living there expressing concern about traffic and quality of life if the project was approved. There has been no word yet if the company will appeal the decision by the supervisors.
