A double homicide investigation is underway at the Great Wolf Lodge resort in Pocono Township, Monroe County, after a woman allegedly stabbed her husband and three-year-old son to death in their guest room.

Local authorities responded to the resort Monday afternoon after receiving a 911 call from 27-year-old Metallica Rose Harrison of Towanda, who reported that she was suicidal and that her family members were already deceased. Upon entering the room, responding officers discovered her husband, Charles Harrison, dead on a mattress suffering from multiple stab wounds to his chest, while the couple's three-year-old son was found dead on a separate mattress with a single chest wound.

Metallica Harrison, who sustained self-inflicted wounds, was taken into custody and transported to a nearby hospital for treatment before facing two counts of criminal homicide. Investigators recovered two knives with teal handles from the scene that were not property of the resort, and video surveillance footage showed the room door remained unopened after the family returned to their room Sunday night. Law enforcement officials confirmed the killings were an isolated domestic incident, and the investigation remains ongoing.
