A fire last night destroyed a home in the Abingtons. According to reports, crews responded to Orchard Lane in Abington Township near Clarks Summit around 6:30 p.m. and faced heavy smoke when they arrived on scene. Fire officials say a woman and two children were inside the home when the fire started; everyone made it out safely. No one was hurt, and a State Police fire marshal will investigate what caused last night's house fire in Lackawanna County.
