Pennsylvania’s next attorney general is Republican Dave Sunday. Sunday is currently York County’s elected district attorney. He beat Democrat Eugene DePasquale, a former state representative and two-term auditor general. The job was open because Attorney General Michelle Henry didn’t seek election after being appointed to fill the last two years of an unexpired term.
Republican nominee Rob Bresnahan Jr. claimed victory in the battle with incumbent Democrat Matt Cartwright in Pennsylvania’s 8th Congressional District earlier this morning.
In a rematch from the 2020 election, Republican incumbent Dan Meuser defeated his challenger, Democrat Amanda Waldman in the race for Pennsylvania’s 9th Congressional District.
In the State House, Democrat Jim Haddock secured a second term while his opponent, 23-year-old McKayla Kathio ran for the first time for Pennsylvania’s 118th Legislative District.
