A 30 year old man from Jefferson Township is behind bars for allegedly assaulting a woman. According to PA State Police at Dunmore, while on patrol earlier this week, Troopers found a vehicle stopped on Salem Heights Road in Lackawanna County with the rear passenger side door open. Inside they found a 31 year old woman from New Jersey badly beaten. The woman told troopers she was assaulted by her boyfriend Devin Froelich while he was high on meth. He was found a short time later walking along Cortez Road. He's now in the Lackawanna County Prison.
