U.S. Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) and U.S. Representative Matt Cartwright (D-PA-8) will join PennDOT Secretary Mike Carroll and Pittston and West Pittston officials for a press conference this morning to highlight $19 million from the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) to replace the Fort Jenkins and Water Street Bridges between Pittston and West Pittston. This funding, from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, will help design and build replacements to the Fort Jenkins and Water Street Bridges, including on-street bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure improvements, and make crossing the Susquehanna safer and more accessible for drivers, cyclists, pedestrians, and all residents of and visitors to Pittston and West Pittston.
