WILKES-BARRE, PA – A Luzerne County man is facing multiple charges following an alleged disruption at a county election board meeting and an altercation with a sheriff's deputy. Magisterial District Judge Donald Whittaker of Nanticoke ruled that Assistant District Attorney Allyson L. Kacmarski presented sufficient evidence to send charges against Joseph Granteed to the Court of Common Pleas of Luzerne County.

Granteed has been charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, disrupting a meeting, harassment, and disorderly conduct.

Reports indicate that Granteed was physically removed from the March 19 election board meeting by Sheriff Deputies Jerry DeHaza and Ryan Morgans after being instructed to do so by County Manager Romilda Crocamo. Granteed's next court appearance is scheduled before Judge David W. Lupas on August 29, 2025.
